Alvoria, Valora – Prime Minister Helena Moreau has finalized her cabinet appointments, marking the beginning of what some are calling a “new era” for the nation. Moreau, who ascended to the role with the endorsement of a wide-reaching coalition, has enacted her constitutional powers as Prime Minister to form a cabinet, and she has chosen to create 15 departments to carry out her vision for Arcandias’ future.
For our international viewers, we at the Arcandian Beacon want to explain how the Arcandian Prime Minster position works in regard to cabinet positions. The Prime Minister holds the majority of power in the Electocratic Plutocracy system, this includes cabinet positions. They can be created or dissolved at will, and their power can be increased or decreased to the needs of the moment, as long as it doesn't exceed the prime minster authority. Even though there are dedicated departments the executive branch has no authority over them, and all have different ways of electing its director(s). Anyways, back to the story:

Power Players and Strategic Thinkers
While the composition of the cabinet is no surprise to many, Moreau’s handpicked candidates align closely with her pro-corporate and modernization agenda. Leading the charge is Tessa Fairchild, council speaker for Glint Global Holdings, who has been appointed as Minister of Economic Affairs and International Trade. Fairchild is expected to accelerate Arcandias' integration and power within the global economy. She said in 2019, if she was elected Prime Minster, she would focus on trade deals, furthering corporate deregulation, and tax breaks for foreign investor. We can only assume that she would continue her goals in the new administration. “It’s an exciting time for Arcandias, and the opportunity to help shape the next phase of our economy is something I deeply look forward to,” Fairchild remarked in a brief statement following her appointment.
Also at the forefront of Moreau’s cabinet is Luciana Mendes, council member for Arcandias Mining and Manufacturing Corporation (AMMC), has been appointed as Minister of National Resources. Mendes, will oversee the management of Arcandias’ lucrative mineral wealth, making sure that the country remains one of the leading producers of rare earth metals globally.
Perhaps one of the most notable decisions made by Moreau was the creation of a new position: Minister of Technological Innovation and Digital Security. This position, held by Sofia Cruz, the head of Mapple's AGI department, will focus on accelerating the nation’s technological capabilities and managing cybersecurity in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
