Alvoria, Valora – Global Freight Solutions (GFS) today announced its latest innovation: Project Skyway, a bold new initiative that seeks to redefine logistics by taking freight to the skies. Promising a "seamless, elevated supply chain," GFS plans to launch a fleet of autonomous cargo drones capable of ferrying goods between Arcandias’ islands in record time. With current ground-based freight systems suffering from congestion (and a touch of inefficiency), GFS’s ambitions aim to bypass road, rail, and maritime transport. “Why settle for the limitations of the ground when the sky offers infinite possibilities?” said GFS's CEO, during a press conference at the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Nova Magna.

At the center of Project Skyway is the fleet of "AirMule" drones. A massive, battery-powered aerial vehicle, capable of carrying cargo loads almost equivalent to a shipping container. GFS touts their speed and efficiency, with claims that the drones can complete a journey from Alvoria to Coral Bay in less than two hours. Critics, however, have raised concerns about air traffic congestion and the environmental impact of manufacturing these. But the CEO brushed them off in his speech, stating, “Innovation always meets resistance. But history remembers the pioneers, not the naysayers.”

With GFS holding just 6.8% of council seats following the 2024 elections, the company’s influence pales in comparison to giants like Arcandias Mining and Manufacturing Corporation (AMMC) or Glint Global Holdings (GGH). Yet, GFS is betting big on innovation to carve out a larger share of the Arcandian economy. The skies are limitless—but so are the risks. With regulatory approval still pending and infrastructure development costs skyrocketing, GFS must navigate this path before its dreams can take flight. Whether Project Skyway succeeds or crashes and burns, one thing is certain: Marcus Fenwick and his team are reaching for the heavens, leaving the rest of us to watch what happens next.
