Wanmachi, País-Sukoku – A young Sukoki man opened fire inside a famous historical pub, Garcia's Glory, killing nine individuals in a tragic act of violence. The shooting occurred during the around 9:05 PM. The assailant, whose identity will remain undisclosed, is believed to be in his mid-20s, entered the pub just after 9 PM, wielding an automatic rifle. Witnesses report that before opening fire, the gunman shouted a series of Sukoki nationalist slogans, seemed driven by economic grievances rather than any overt religious motivation. After fatally shooting nine patrons on the pub’s ground floor, the attacker attempted to ascend to the upper level to continue his spree. However, a group of off-duty police officers, enjoying a quiet evening, quickly intervened. The officers tackled the shooter on the staircase, managing to restrain him without further incident. He was taken into custody, where he is now awaiting interrogation by local authorities.
The pub, named after Nova-País General Garcia, has long been a popular attraction for locals and tourists. General Garcia's controversial role in the destruction of religious property following the Great Sukoki Revolt (1813-1817) and has prompted calls for renaming. However, the spokesperson for Garcia’s Glory stated, "The name reflects the pub's deep-rooted heritage in Wanmachi. At this time, we have no plans to pursue a renaming"

As the nation deals with the aftermath of the shooting, political responses have been swift—though, in many cases, premature. Just 45 minutes after the attack, members of the 1915 Party, took to social media to voice their opinions. Georgios Agnacias, a prominent figure in the 1915 Party, was quick to post a statement criticizing the government’s "weak stance on Sukoki nationalism," drawing immediate backlash for politicizing the tragedy before any formal investigation was released. His comments have led to a increase of ongoing scrutiny of the 1915 Party and its role in fanning the flames of racial division in the country.
While the shooter’s actions were unconscionable, his rhetoric pointed to a sentiment that is not unique within the Sukoki community. As businesses and lawmakers look for solutions, the corporate sector has, as always, stepped up, offering to lead the way in unifying communities and fostering economic equity through strategic investments.
